Where? ... reflections on place
A rock isolated from its context symbolises the tension between vulnerability and strength, disconnectedness and place, isolation and belonging. Without the distraction of its surroundings, its beauty and unique qualities are revealed.
This is a metaphor for our human condition. We often experience disconnection from our place of comfort, whether physical, spiritual or cultural. Such times are an opportunity to discover our inner strength and our unique qualities.
Cultivated by the rake of history, we, as individuals have been brought together to make the soil from which the future emerges.
